Haley Waack

How would you describe your style?

A reflection of what currently inspires me and what my mood is. Whether it’s from places I’ve been (i.e. London and Berlin) or fashion articles I read and brands I discover.

Streetwear / sportswear, 90s fashion, minim1al and black (for a night out).

What’s your favorite item in your closet right now?
Hmmm. My all white Nike Air Max Plus tns. Besides shoes – American Apparel 2×2 deep v neck ribbed venture top…it’s simple and sassy.

All – time?

Probably my Vagabond black platform sandals. I lived in them this summer in Europe. I wear them in all seasons especially with socks. They comfy as hell and versatile.

Heels or flats?
Both. I am in luv with shoes especially sneakers. I only wear platforms as far as heels go. I am not a stiletto girl really.

Favorite brands and shops?
Brands: Weekday, Monki, Gosha Rubchinsky, Palace Skateboards, American Apparel, UNIF, Comme Des Garçons, Acne Studios, Raf Simons, Topshop.

My favorite brand for sneakers is Nike…but the classic styles. 95s and TNs <3

Fila and Champion are favorite sport brands.
**clothes ive thrifted make up a large portion of my wardrobe. Some of my favorite pieces have been thrifted. So, US: Red Racks / DAV, Goodwill. London: Rokit, the Blitz. Germany and Austria: Humana

Shops: Opening Ceremony, Ssense, ASOS, UNIF (online)

Who would you say is your number one fashion inspiration?

Raf Simons, …the 90s era

What do you splurge on?

SHOES (Sneakers mostly, but really any kind)
My Jeffery Campbell black platform Chelsea boots are a new fav.

Do you have any fashion rules?

Don’t force anything. Do u, be u.
I don’t really vibe with the whole The Buckle aesthetic that is v popular around here, but tbh wear what u luv and makes u feel good.

I think it’s important for anyone to buy clothes that are of good quality and will last awhile; hence, I try to avoid buying v cheap fast fashion. The price speaks for itself….usually (unless thrifiting).
