Wouldn’t it be nice if you had someone to cook you Tuna Poke Bowls, Honey Lime Grilled chicken, Korean Meatballs and a summer chopped salad?!
Well, YOU can be that person and not have to spend a fortune in order to do so!
Now, if you’re like me, trying to think of things to make for dinner every night can be such a daunting task, and you don’t want to buy ingredients that you’ll only use for the meal and let it go waste in the fridge.
Let me introduce you to my two saviors: shopping at Aldi and meal planning with cooksmarts.com!
I know you have heard of Blue Apron and other food services, where it can get pretty pricey, but you get to have groceries delivered to you. I personally like being able to buy my own groceries and be able to touch what I am buying. At only $8 a month, Cooksmarts gives you four meals a week, you can choose the servings, and you reuse ingredients so food isn’t going to waste. It fits most dietary needs like Paleo, Vegetarian and Gluten Free. It also gives you a checklist for groceries you already have and then emails you a list of the groceries that you need so you don’t have to worry about trying to pull all that stuff together. I can tell you, Cooksmarts makes me feel like a five-star chef!
Next, is a trip to Aldi’s!
Sometimes, I really hate myself and go shopping at Aldi on Sunday afternoons (please don’t do this), but I highly recommend doing it either Friday or Sunday nights, an hour before closing because there is no one there. I can usually buy everything I need for four meals, breakfast and lunches for six days and stay under $100. You can save yourself even more money by making extras for dinners and then eating the leftovers for lunch the next day.
I highly recommend checking cooksmarts — it has made a huge difference for my family at a low price. Also, most of the meals are healthy and, for the most part, toddler approved! So get to shopping, guys!!
